COVID19 is changing leadership and teamwork.

How to lead a team that is not there?

Webinar
1 April 2020, 6 pm. CET

Free Admission. In English.

The Corona Crisis forces many organizations to change the way they organise themselves. As the economy is slowing down and activities are stopping, working remotely is the only way to keep on going.

Where telework took root, it was limited to one or two days a week. Now it’s full-time telework for at least a month. And that’s not so obvious.

A main reason is that a part of the the job is defined by the formal and informal interactions at work. What’s more, people who have never worked from home before, do not have the skills to do so well. An important problem of working from home is also the feeling of being isolated. And finally, homeworking requires specific skills from the leader.

A leader then has to create a psychological context that promotes cooperation within the team, regardless of the distance.

Leaders are asked today to be better than ever. People look at them, what they say and how they say it. Their exemplary behaviour will determine how the team works.

In this seminar we will discuss how leaders can cope with this challenge.

We will deal with these topics:

  • What are organizations doing today to face the Corona-crisis?
  • What are the challenges a leader faces?
  • What does science say about “confinement”?
  • What style of leadership can a leader adopt?
  • How can technology be of help? What are the limits and dangers?
  • How can we deal with mental health issues as leaders?
  • What about our own mental health?
  • How to prepare for the future?
  • Some Practical Tips
